I tried sleeping on the plane to and from Rio de Janeiro, but I couldn’t. Too used to my own bed. :)

Maybe it’s the whole “going forward in reverse” thing, Lol!– But I think it may be the fact that one’s inner clock is wired to certain habits at certain times- … if it would be 6 pm Friday here, it would be 2 pm Saturday in Australia (if one were in Melbourne)…. so, depending on when one is accustomed to eating, sleeping, etc., they’d have to adjust to doing it either a little sooner or a little later, depending on where one is travelling…

Jet lag is brutal no matter how you look at it, and for most of us, worse going East than West. Poor quill is knackered.

Takes a day for every hour time change. Went from Iceland to Australia, almost straight from the flight to a concert. It was broadcast live. I hope I didn’t snore too loud…

Got back last Sunday,, Sri Lanka to Canada: 6 am departure from Colombo, 17 hour layover in Mumbai, 9 hours to Brussels, 8 hour delay, 9 more to Toronto……Still a wreck.

First time Luann in heels? Some mild evidence of a body under the dress in panel one

Quill, what a pusscake!!! When I was his age I could of gone days without sleep and still party the night away….course he’s an Aussie so what do you expect.

I’m surprised Quill lasted that long.

Poor quill. 18 hours on a plane just to start with.

Gunther and his mommy will both creep out the guest.

So Quill is finally sleeping with Luann… in a manner of speaking…heck that guy gets around he’s sleeping with the whole school

So, she drove, drove some more, hung some stuff, drove, changed clothes, drove again and drove fast. A bunch of driving, a bit of easy work and changing an outfit. That’s not the kind of thing that tires out a teenager. A middle-aged man maybe, but not a teen.

And as for sleeping on the plane? It really is next to impossible — too many distractions are going on (and it didn’t help on the return flight to the US that I had come down with a monster cold during my first visit to Rome; just try sleeping with the changes in altitude wreaking constant hell on your sinuses!).

Yeah that jet lag from Australia is wicked. 19 to 20 hours of flight, or more if there are lay-overs at who knows where. So give the guy a break. He is still out with Luann because he loves her, and likes her friends.

I was going to explain why Luann was not showing that she had gone through collagen injections in panel 2, but I remembered your ad hominem response the last time I commented on something you generated. So I won’t bother. I’ll just suggestyou look at a mirror and say ‘Whoo’ and see if you get a response similar to panel 2, even without collagen injections. That would be fun.

Actually, Panel 3 is a pretty good assessment of the degree to which “Quill sure brings the fun” to this strip. Reading the “Quill” strips has caused more than one reader to do the same thing that Quill is doing now. Let’s hope that Greg makes a conscious effort to turn him into someone interesting this time. That’ change is very much needed, since Quill will now (apparently) be a permanent fixture at least for the next year instead of a temporary character intended to be Luann’s love interest briefly as a foreign visitor and then go home.

Quill feels like I did a couple days ago. Was traveling for 24 hrs. He’d probably not be done with “jet lag” yet, especially traveling east bound.

I see the school kids aren’t at the dance, so far. I hope they figured out something for them to say “thanks” for all the free labor. And Tiff seems to have gone missing, after Lu introduced Q earlier this week. I do hope our dear Tiff isn’t planning a “Carrie” moment!

Re: Gunther’s suit – I didn’t know they made plaid vests! (Or is he a men’s tailor as well?)*Guess the little kids didn’t get to come. Rats! I was so looking forward to seeing that Snow White dress!

Panel 2 also looks like a pucker. Maybe that’s what she’s been doing several times during the last few hours.

Remember that last week Quill had over 90 more forms (probably long ones) to submit to various folks before he could come to the USA. He probably hasn’t had more than 2 or 3 hours sleep per night for the last 3 weeks, preparing for his year in the USA. (Of course, that visit will be cut much shorter if the Feds find him violating the terms of his student visa by working for TJ.)-Meanwhile, where is Tiffany? As the person who was responsible for getting the gym decorated, someone should be thanking her for how well it turned out. I hope someone is also taking a picture to show the school kids how pretty the gym looks with their flag pictures on the walls.

Oooh. That was supposed to be a joke. Oooh. Okay… ha. ha.

Funny thing is that in Scrabble, Q and Z are worth a lot of points… – That is, if you can know how to use them….

I’m sure this time he wants to give the character more backstory and more to do than just adore Luann’s “inner beauty” (and visibly spurn Tiffany’s “outward beauty”, of course), because it must get as boring trying to write story arcs around Quill as it is to read them,

He’s just going for a sleep ’about. He might look like a bludger, but he just got back from beyond the black stump, far and away near the billabong.

Not in the Spanish or French language versions, where Q and Z are as common as G or K are in English (and German) ^Yes, as you correctly state, many French and German words use “Q” and “Z”, respectively… – But I was focusing only on the Standard American English version… those two letters referencing today’s topics: (1) Where and what place for Quill; (2) And of course the sleeping….

Tomorrrow – Gunther takes our sleeping Prince home and tucks him into bed…

And, now, it’s time for the Evening Snooze News….. – (cue news theme)Oh, who am I kidding? These news blurbs were boring, as I started to read them, so just pretend nothing happened, today…. (cue “Dirty Laundry” by Don Henley/fade)

Looks like Quill is going to miss the entire dance! His body’s Time Clock is still in OZ, but his heart’s Time Clock is here in Pitts with Luann. I also noticed Gunther seems to be quite at ease with Rosa!…Its About Time! I got tired of having him being portrayed as a social outcast who exchanges feet between conversations… Now, I wonder if we’ll get to see what happened between the kids and Tiffany… ;)

(Referring to Leviticus" putting his cat out at night) “Not in Southern Cal nears the hills y’don’t…” I lost two cats to ’ yotes in AZ; we lived right near a wash in a development next to the desert… Broke my heart; I never had another cat the rest of the time there…

Oh, well…back to the “real” world! ;)

If it hasn’t already been said in the last 160 comments, at least now Quill can honestly say he’s slept with Luann.
