Kudo’s (large buck) do that. If you walk past them they will all stop grazing and turn and look at you.
saw a video this week where a mama humpback with her calf started to make noises and swam directly at an underwater photographer, and knocked the camera out of his hands. I think the tourists in the strip should be glad the whales are just watching.

And former Praetor Shinzon used to watch them from Romulus, even though he should have watched Remus more closely…
