I think highly of George Washington, but I don’t think well of a lot that goes on in the city named after him.

One reason for the name being a slur, is the fact they are at the bottom of theid fivision. If they were at the top, I bet there would be less hoop-la. The Native American has given us much. Why is it that all the “minorities” feel insulted, but don’t feel so bad when they do it to others?If Washington really wants to be insulting, call the team the Washington Politicians.

@icdrlar – You assume that everybody who might feel disparaged gives a rats patooty about football. And the notion that somebody that would feel disparaged would feel less so because said team is winning… mind-boggling.
