I know of two things happened in 1950: my mother’s brother’s birth (10 February) and my father’s birth (27 December).

Two events known of 1950:
1950-01-26: India adopted new constitution, making it the first Republic in the Commonwealth. Queen no longer head-of-state, that function now performed by “elected” (by legislators and MP’s) President (also India managed to invent THE most useless post anywhere and ever, that of VP-India)1950-06-25: Korean War startedceleconecca almost 11 years ago
Forgot about India’s new constitution; remembered Korea. Go fig, brain fog

In 1950 I was graduated from Lealman Junior High School in St. Petersburg, FL. I thought that the question probably referred to the Korean “Police Action.”

Some specificity would have been helpful. Lots of things happened in 1950.
