Army 1951 to 1953. Was on more ships in the Army than when I was in the Navy Reserve. Two big troop transports. one attack transport, two LSTs, and a landing craft.
Very nice strip.@Tony, NO. No member of my immediate family ever served, but I appreciate them, so for today and tomorrow will use our flag in lieu of avatar.
Father:Navy. Grandfather: Merchant Marines then Navy Reserve (WWII). Stepson headed for Quantico soon. My little scrap yard serves many homeless and affected Vets and they all get gratitude from my staff. Monday is higher pricing. I am DAR and we serve many active duty and vets around the world. It’s never enough thanks.
No I am not a vet, but I am very thankful to all those who have served. Many of my family members served in WWII and Korea. Two of my great uncles even met Patton.I want to say today, tomorrow and every day….Thank you to all of you who have sacrificed so much for this country and all of us in it.
