Cat was getting hungryPerhaps a bird or mouse?Wasn’t getting close to that old woman’s houseBut then one dayWhile the lady took a nap cat’s favorite place becameThe old woman’s’ lapCrackling fire – the smellOf baking bread.Cat’s favorite place became The old woman’s bed.Miles and miles of land to roamBut cat’s favorite became the old women’s’ home.
