Tofu is part of a conspiracy of gleeful, vengeful Orientals. They meet once a month and conjure ways to insult Western society. Their previous efforts include sicking pins in your body, drinking your own pee and curing illness by rubbing cold hands on another’s body. ;-)
I’m just a temporary Vegan/vegetarian. I really tried to like tofu, and the closest I got is the sausage flavored bits of TVP that I put under my breakfast garlic pasta. I’ll be glad to get back to real meat and cheese.
I’ll be done with the full year without any meat, cheese, alcohol or caffeine on Valentine’s. I may still have mostly vegetarian meals often, but I will appreciate an occasional whole egg over easy and a sandwich of very rare flank steak with aged cheddar (and romaine and tomato) on good whole grain bread. I have loved seafood when visiting coastal cities, so I’ve resolved to make an effort to get fresh seafood in Phoenix (even if I overnight it in).

The tofu population definitely needs to be controlled.

It’s always open season on tofu, especially with fermented black bean chili oil peanut sauce, and garnished with sliced scallion.

Beware the wily Tofudebeest, oddly blocky denizen of the Serengeti Plain.

I don’t know. That wild tofu can be pretty gamy. .(Who are we kidding. It’s all pretty much cat barf.)

Isn’t referring to all soy foods as tofu like referring to all egg dishes as omelets?
