Roscoe would take offense if it were “fleas on your dog.”

It doesn’t have to be in another language for kids to have interesting interpretations.Recall the child who was drawing a nativity scene and put in a portly man. When his mom asked who that was, he said “Oh, that’s Round John Virgin!”

You should hear the little kids down here trying to sing the English version of songs, like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. To all my ‘Pickled’ friends:Les deseo a todos una muy Feliz Navidad y un Próspero Año Nuevo !

I think I may have been old enough to vote before I figured out that it wasn’t “we three kings of ori and tar”.

Like pelican47 says, it doesn’t have to be in another language. I think it was my niece who asked, a few years ago, why there were cheeses in the manger.

OMG, I’m exhausted from laughing at all of these comments! One of our family favorites was from Twas the NIght Before Christmas" when he “tore open the shutters and threw up the hash”!

When my son was young we were in church singing We’ll work Till Jesus Comes and he said I like this song but who is Wilbur? I told my family I want this song sung at my funeral. I was forty when I had him, my fifth son. This will be a little message for him. I live next door to him and his three children, my death will be hard on them. Maybe this song will make him smile.

I always thought Nelson was 8 or so — I work in a school and it seems he’d be well beyond most of the kinder kids. He’d fit right in to 2nd grade.
