She lost her cheerleading privilege due to the “cell phone” scandal…..

Tiffany and Luann argued, as usual. She took pictures of Luann changing in the locker room, in her “undies” and was going to spread them around. Gunther was able to deduce how it all went down, and Tiffany got caught, and they took her Cheer Squad position away….

Yeah, tammyspeakslife. I like sweet guys like Ox, too. I didn’t want to date them, but I didn’t want to hurt them, either.

I should also add that the “Miss Chamber Of Commerce Title” was what she lost, when TJ left her in the middle of the “meal scandal”, while he got away practically scot free… and that was around 2011, I believe….

Forgot to mention that it picks back up again, on August 29, to September 17 of ‘05, when the matter gets resolved with Tiff’s suspension… – Although in going back, I don’t see that she ever did really lose her Cheer priveleges… – So she only lost her “C.O.C.” title, but never her cheer priveleges….

She also said he had to “keep crashers out.” If she turns him down, his hopes will have crashed. As well as his chances with her (at that time). So therefore, he must be made to leave the dance. She pulled a fast one, there…. Heh heh….

Notice her gesture in the second panel? It may mean real concern.

I think the latter, and I think he’ll be disappointed, evenif she promises him ome in tomorrow’s strip. At theprom, she’ll ‘forget.’

If Tiff gives Ox even one dance, he’s looking at a major heartbreak soon after.

Tiffany may not be leading him on… She stood on his shoulders to play “chicken” in the pool at Rosa’s pool party, she stood and engaged in actual conversation with him, as well. She did not try to say: “Oh, look! Something over there!” and then walk away. She didn’t say anything disparaging to him in any of her conversations. For Tiffany, that really means something. She actually stopped and conversed with him and didn’t walk away, during the time he rescued her from Les. We’re looking at someone who seems genuinely appreciative of him. – She may or may not be attracted to him, but given that she doesn’t act rudely with him, nor does she take an "I’m too good to be seen with you stance, it is possible. Even if she doesn’t “like him, like him”, at the very least, we’re looking at someone who she actually “lets her guard down” in front of…. yes, she seems pretty comfortable around him……

I predict no one will ask Tiff the prom except for Ox, whom she repeatedly turns down or puts off, like she does here. A day before, with no prom date, she finally asks HIM. They go together, Tiff recognizes she must actually dance at least one dance with him— a slow one— and in his muscular arms she is shocked to find she is passionately attracted to him. And they all lived happily ever after.

Can you please refrain from the sexual implications?

Now this is the romance I really wanna see unfold. I hope she doesn’t disrespect him like Ms. Eiffel. I bet Luann would just pure whip her tail if she did. Or maybe Shannon could bite her nose off.

“A few weeks ago, someone posted a strip in which Ox himself admits to Gunther that he, Ox, is “not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer”.^The difference is, the kind of slow you’re talking about is not the same kind of slow they were talking about….

I’m disappointed in the abrupt end to the arc with Bernice and Delta. Now we’ll have to wait to find out if Bernice decides to go to the prom alone, or forget about an event that she considers a milestone and instead join Delta in using that evening to cook a meal for a needy family. I kept hoping that we would see her about to put the dress she’d tried on back on the rack, and suddenly Zane would appear in the store, asking if she could possibly consider taking him to her prom because he’d never gone to one and wanted a chance to just be a kid for a change….

Ox was me in high school. But then I was also in the art club, and the girls I dated were more like Bernice.

Now to yesterday’s naysayers— don’t you think Delta might have a point in wanting to skip the prom?

guess Evans got the hint and killed the “Delta can do no wrong arc”…maybe he does read the comments, lol!

In this case, my own personal take would be that it’s just a general “everybody’s getting ready, let’s check on them and see what’s happening!" sort of thing.– Funny thing, though. After the bathroom incident, it led up to Knute/Crystal/Gunther/Rosa sort of ‘recapping" everything, and then led to part of that week with the “confrontation” of Les with Rosa/Gunther, leading up to the kiss, and now this week with Bern/Delta, and now Tiff/Ox. Suspect that tomorrow we’d get maybe one or two other characters.

Yesterday I said most of the needy are under 14…I actually meant All of the children under 14 not just the 14 year olds. But yes, I am glad you agree.

-Being mentally challenged is not the same thing as being a ‘slow learner’. The term ‘slow learner’ is often used to describe kids who have dyslexia, who see letters backwards. Those kids struggle to read and to write, but they have normal intelligence. If this isn’t picked up on while they are young, a lot of them end up quitting school because they fall behind. My late stepdad was trained to work with dyslexic adults after retiring, and helped them learn to read for the first time in their adult lives. Nothing was wrong with their intelligence; the brain just transposed letters. This happens surprisingly often.

OX is a lot smarter than people think. Remember he enlightened Ann Eiffel when she took advantage of him thinking he wasn’t too swift.

I don’t see a lot of boys asking Tiff out. Maybe she will decide Ox is better than nothing, until someone better comes along. She does treat him better than she treats anyone else.

- 28 days after 9/11 before an arc dealing with it was published-Maybe that is the normal lead time, but I’m thinking that probably most cartoonists took some extra time to work on possible responses before publishing anything….

Really Tiffany seems to genuinely like Ox. I can’t imagine this conversation not being laced with contempt for any other character.

Well, Ox is being persistent. Tiffany is pretty, but I hope Ox turns to another girl; this one wouldn’t be worth his while. Besides, he’s too good for Tiffany.

Mmmm……… I’ll bet it’s more patronizing than affectionate.

My prediction: Tiffany will slow dance with Ox as promised and develop unfamiliar feelings (read: love) for him. She’ll be blindsided and conflicted – Should she surrender her heart or protect her ego-driven reputation? I’m rooting for them, Beauty and the Beast.

At least there’s one thing we get to know about today’s strip: it appears that Tiffany doesn’t have an official “date” to take her to the prom…and, besides Ox, Who would Want to be with her! Its kinda sad in a way… Anyway, Tiff, Quit it already with Ox!!! ;)
