Don’t you mean that the dog is back from walking Todd?

Just as there are different schools of art, riding, and literature…

Todd subscribes to the Madame Beviek school of dog-walking.

If Todd’s going to practice for the Iditarod, he should really get a sled.

Dozing off again by the fireplace….

the Tiki is a nice place to be on a cold night, if I can only stay awake long enough to get any work done.

Washington Eagle…. if you drop by…. I didn’t mean to ignore your question last night, but I fell asleep then too.

You know I’m out here on the West Coast and it’s still Friday night to me…..no long-cooking specials from ME tonight cos it’s been a busy few days.

That doesn’t mean we don’t have our always bountiful regular menu….featuring the Monkey’s own slow-smoked and wonderful yak ribs….we almost always have those.

I run the smoker when he can’t…. but weekends usually find him out back making another mountain of them… so we’ll be running rib specials I’m sure.

And tomorrow I’ll be in, making the monkey’s favorite yak loaf, and possibly a big pot of my yak noodle soup…. good for what ails ya in this weather.

If you’re hungry before all that is ready….try our special “Yakety Snack” …. smaller than a yak rib platter but way more than a snack, really…. a huge, tasty, barbecue yak sandwich with sides.

This is so like my walks with Penny when it is raining or snowing. She has no use for either. My Schnauzer is very unlike the lab I had before her.

Todd is not walking the dog. This is the newest Olympic event planned for the next ones.Reverse Curling by Dog.Instead of sending a rock down the ice you have your dog drag you to the circle for scoring.I would watch it……with a few cold beers it could be quite interesting and the US might medal in it.

When the snow came I took my aunt’s toy poodle out for a walk. First he couldn’t find a place to pee cause the snow was too high and the bushes were cold. Then he spotted a snowman and he spent five minutes barking at it. Then some snow fell off it and he almost fainted. Then he found another snowman and it tried to eat him. He is our brave little man….

I’m just popping in on Sunday because Saturday is my funday. The belated Valentine dinner turned out great yesterday. We sampled the dessert with cocktails . . . .No – I’m talking about the molasses bars and homemade strawberry frozen yogurt.

If anyone is interested, I made Clam Chowder, Oysters Rockefeller, Asparagus Hollandaise and Cauliflower & Parsnip AuGratin for the dinner (healthy and yummy). I had most of my “mis-en-place” done when he arrived at 2PM, but after cocktail time etc, he helped with the bits I did not have finished.

    Wonderful day! Happy Valentine’s

The weather was pleasant today, in the high 50s so I went for a nice afternoon bike ride along the river. I did only eight or nine miles, but it was what I needed.
