Problem solved.I knew a lady in Brewton, Alabama who had a used book store. She would swap one for two or sell cheaply. She had a steady supply of new books coming in, started two more stores simply to clear some room...My books nowadays weigh nano ounces as ebooks and I probably bought more than 15 a couple of days ago.
One of the best things for all is that if I liked a book, I can buy all the rest of the authors’ other books, so they never go out of print..Baen.com is good about giving away the first book in a series. If you like it, you are more likely to pay for later works.They also let you read the first seven or eight chapters of all books. If you don’t want to buy the book by then, no money wasted but they are betting you will be more likely to buy by then. It worked on me.LIFE IS GOOD
There is a library check out books for free just do not be late returning books.I found site for free books on-line. I cannot afford Kindle or nook. I have ton of books literally over 500 I have not counted how many. All paper back. Master bedroom library shelf, small room, smaller shelf in living room, and two cars with boxes of books in case of emergency or if I finish a book I do not want boredom.Now I have no time for personal reading. On-line studies. One subject almost done. We get a 2nd chance of correcting quiz.
4.3 is still pretty small.BUT, I just happened to think, OBVIOUSLY everybody here is operating on a PC of some sort, probably one they or a family member owns.You can get Kindle App for the PC! I think you can download it for free from Amazon. So you can take advantage of the larger screen size, and you can take advantage of a huge library of Free and Cheap books available.
Many authors today are using Amazon and Kindle for self-publishing. I just finished the “Peace Warrior” trilogy by Steven L. Hawk, and it’s just the kind of SF I like. $3,99 per book, and you know a paperback will cost twice that, or a hardback four or five times that.Plus a lot of self-published authors are selling their books for $0.99. What better way to get started as a writer? All you avid readers out there, bragging about how many thousands of books you own, you should go help encourage these budding authors and buy some of their books.(don’t get me wrong, some of it garbage, but what do you want for a buck?)
Today’s my birthday. I like a good biography.(just sayin’…in case one of you is feeling generous!) Reading Mike Tyson’s right now.“The Undisputed Truth”. I bumped into him at an Oscar party Sunday. Told him I was on chapter 10.

We have pictures on the wall only in the living/dining room and bedroom, all other walls are covered in filled bookshelves.
