Rat: Mr. Jones, I'm afraid there was a mistake with your blood work. You may not be dying after all. Mr. Jones: What happened? Rat: I accidentally pricked my finger during your blood test and my blood dripped onto your sample, so I'm not sure whose blood I tested. Mr. Jones: So it might e you who's dying? Rat: That's right. And that would be a profound tragedy. Mr. Jones: But what if it's me? Rat: There's no "I" in "profound tragedy."

And yet there is an I in “profound tragedy” when it is Rat who is dying. So says Rat. And Pig will sadly believe that hog wash. But the rest of us know that’s not a profound tragedy, it’s a cause for celebration. Especially since we get to see Rat undie again, but hopefully after he once more sees the strip can and will go on without him.

Mr. Jones didn’t utter an “I,” Rat. But, technicalities aside, You self-centered worldview is just begging for a slap in the face from Karma. Unfortunately, she’s busy with her employment in Mythtickle.

There’s no I in “me” either. (Or, is that neither?)

But there are two i’s in “egotistical”, which is a perfect description of Rat.
