Perhaps Bernice & Delta are being ‘written out’ to a large extent. Luann’s college days will bring new friends, challenges, with or without Quill. Plus, Brad & Toni will be a big storyline going forth. I expect to see less and less of Luann’s high school/childhood buddies.
Well, it looks like the girls are singing their swan song…it seems as though Greg is giving them a future being apart yet being together all the same… ;)
Yes, IJB, I’m guessing a lot of posters don’t really care for this arc…it is kind of “soppy,” but I am sort of enjoying it. It gives the girls hope that they won’t be parted after high school. Although it happens more often than not… ;)
“So many worlds, so much to do, So little done, such things to be.” Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
And on that note, I’m off the see the wizard… ’nite all (if even there is an “all!”) ;)

King
No, some of them still replay every once in a while- like a flashback…. -Actually, I think that not only was it my GC anniversary a few weeks back, but I think my first Donnybattle was this very week….
Don’t need all 459 pages, but I’ve sure enjoyed laughing at the ones you’ve just posted. His lack of any reality was infuriating at times, but sort of hope he’s OK now.
Expert tug on the heartstrings of the audience here. It is, in a way, the end of an ere. But is also the beginning of a new one. And, yes, I expect we will see much less of Delta while she’s off in D.C. at Howard University. But Luann and Bernice should cross paths pretty often, though the relationship won’t be the same, with the new-and-improved Bernice and their separate circles of (sometimes new) friends….
Actually Brad Bird has stated repeatedly that he would love to do an Incredibles sequel, but it must have a story that is worth it. He refuses to do it, “just for the money”.
I suspect Pixar agrees with him after Cars 2. I enjoyed C2 but an awful lot of people did not.
It’s funny. C2 grossed nearly $600 million in worldwide sales at a cost of only $200 million, yet it is considered by many to be Pixar’s first flop. We should all have flops like that.
•1: Planes was NOT a Pixar movie. It was a Disney movie all the way. Since Disney owns the rights to Pixar, they had the legal right to set it in the Cars universe. but Pixar had nothing to do with the movie.
•2: Planes had a budget of $50 million. It grossed world-wide $219 million, $90 million of that was domestic. So it definitely was no flop by any stretch of the imagination.
•3: I couldn’t be happier to hear that Brad Bird is finally actively working on I2. If ever there was a movie that cried out for a sequel, it was The Incredibles. If Brad Bird is working on it, then that means he has a story he feels is worth doing. Now if we find out that Pixar is working on I2 without him, then I would be worried.
There will also be a sequel to “Planes”, called “Planes: Fire And Rescue”. It will be out in July of this year…. - That’s why I said: “Blame the Mouse”. There’s so much of their name around, and their fingers are in almosteverything … from sports to music to television, to restaurants… The over-saturation and monopolizing, among other things, will be like “B&L” was, in the Wal-E movie….
Goodbye to childhood – it’s on to adulthood. They’ll wind up at the same college – and I hope, like Doonesbury and For Better Or Worse, we’ll see them continue on in real time forever.
Yes, but clearly not as “pushed” as the flat-screens are. Places like H.H. Gregg and Best Buy would be more likely to have them (in limited stock) than Target, Kmart and WalMart….
(activating James Bond/Montgomery Scott Impersonation:) That’d be a “wee bit of a problem… it would leave people “shaken, but not stirred”… the engines of law would not be able to “take any more”…. (terminating impression….about…now.)
Y’know, it takes a while to develop a skill such as replying to him. Years, even. Probably would be a good college course. Certainly not an easy feat for a novice, ha ha ha!!!!!

This summer, for the first time ever, Pixar got beat out at the box office by another CGI franchise.
Monsters University was hugely profitable, yeah…but Despicable Me 2 still clobbered it.
And it’s been announced that Pixar not be releasing a movie THIS summer, ( another first. )
I’ve been wondering ever since Cars 2…Has this studio lost its mojo?

I’m hearing a little James Taylor:
I was hearing a little “Carole King.” :) Technically, she’s the composer, right? Although JT was definitely involved in the initial covers of it.
