I installed a reverse osmosis filter system under the sink. We get pure water, but it ain’t free. The city here charges for water delivery to your home. The sewer district charges for the luxury of draining used water away. Still, cheaper than buying bottled water.

If you pay a utilities bill, you’re paying for the water.

some time ago in our town there were no meters, just a flat fee. then someone discovered that we were using many times the gallonage per person that towns with meters used. so, much to the chagrin of people with big lawns, meters were installed. you can tell the old locals now by the brown summer lawns.

What’s with all this FREE WATER? Signe must have had a well, because if you are on CITY WATER, YOU PAY FOR CITY WATER, for LAUNDRY, BATHING AND SHOWERING, COOKING, DRINKING, WATERING GARDEN PLANTS, FREE??? I know this strip has been retired, but REALLY?
