I happen to like comics like this, where there is a definite story going on but it’s not so tightly focused on the plot that it can’t wander around the characters a bit.
Oh, I forgot. Most comic strip readers get confused easily by anything new or anything that doesn’t end in a trite syndicate-approved gag. Or anything with a story that lasts for more than a week. Or anything that offends them (Read: anything not approved by the Hays Code).
