Man: Sir, your resume is quite impressive. Your credentials are amazing. There's just something about you that I'm not sure is right for the job. Perhaps it's your name. Sloth Man: Sloth man? Man: I think that's it. Sloth Man: It's an appearance thing, isn't it?

A PBS without any of the regular characters.
Sisyphos over 10 years ago
Ours not to reason why, ours but to accept that a tree grows in this office! And that Sloth Man has the flexibility of, well, a tree-sloth. This a charming one-off PBS.

Off topic, I suppose..I was out of town the week that Bill Watterson drew the strip and am only now getting caught up on what I had missed..First: Was I the only one who was fooled? I thought that, in actuality, Stephan Pastis could draw that good! I thought that his usual stick figures were just his “shtick.”.Moreover, when I saw Libby’s work, I thought that perhaps Stephan was paying homage to (or satirizing) Watterson’s work!.Last, and certainly least: Would it be good if Stephan’s art came to mirror that of his guest artist? I note that the “new” Pig and Rat are now the banner for this strip – which has got to be confusing to anyone new to this strip, since neither Pig nor Rat look like they do in that banner!.What do people think? Should Pastis’ art stay the same, or should he try to emulate that of his esteemed guest artist?

A coworker of mine was a slob man, a very close relative to a sloth man. One day he disappeared without a trace.

Sloths rock!
corzak over 10 years ago
It’s spelled “Sloth Man” but it’s pronounced “slot-mun”.
corzak over 10 years ago
@Strod is correct . . . sloths are very unusual! Go to wiki article on sloths. Among many interesting things, sloths are so slow, that they each have their own mini-ecosystem of plants and animals living in their fur!

They should hire Sloth-Man. He’d only take bathroom breaks once a week.
