Hello, On a Claire Day readers! Henry Beckett and I are the creators of the comic. We wanted to share some news with you. This Saturday, June 14, will be the final day of our strip. After eight years, we felt it was time to come to a close. We will especially miss our readers and fans and the support you’ve given us all these years. If you’d like to stay in touch with us, email us at: fans@comikka.com. Also, we’ll be running all the old strips on Comikka. Just visit comikka.com on your mobile phone. We’ll be posting all week to say our goodbyes!
Awwwwww…just when I’ve really come to love this strip! I wish you both all the best in future endeavors. Remember, if Claire ever wants to come back — we’re here!
Oh dear, now I am soooooo sorry to hear this…..I love this comic strip…..maybe you will miss it yourselves and decide to come back…..I hope so, in the meantime Good Luck to you!!!
Going out on a limb here, but any chance you’ll rerun the strip from the beginning here in gocomics? I had no idea it ran eight years. Also, my cell phone doesn’t do things like that since it’s old and I prefer it simple. So where else could I read the strips?Anyone who says I should upgrade to a more current phone, save your breath (or in this case, typing). It ain’t gonna happen. It’s called living on a fixed income. No room for the new, expensive stuff.
I’m also sorry to hear, but every good thing (as they say) has to come to an end.
At 76, I have also decided it’s time to simplify and not have a pool to maintain etc. Moving to a 1-story house without pool (but will still enjoy fruit trees, mostly citrus). I’ll try to save a shortcut on my PC to Claire classics, too – just as I still enjoy some of the other strips that no longer run.
BTW – Last Saturday we enjoyed an old Smothers Brothers album after dinner and I have bought some of Sid and Imogene as well.
8 years! I’ve been following this strip from the start, when Clair moved into her tiny apartment. There were many twists and turns, just like real life. It never became stale. I was hooked. I will miss this strip.
