Mazel Tov, sir. I find the self depreciating humor in this strip it’s most endearing quality. To be able to laugh at ones foibles is a trait that’s being rapidly lost. Such a shame.

The first 40 years are always the hardest!

Happy 40th Bill Hinds and also to the late Jeff Millar. Thanks for the humour and thanks for letting me know there are other sports to watch other than the NHL. (first time season tix holder for my local CFL team)..May you have many more years. .as to today’s Tank… sometimes you just have to go it old school. Nice.

Happy Birthday, Tank! And congratulations to Mr. Hinds. I had just graduated high school and was on my way to college when the first Tank McNamara ran in our local newspaper. I was hooked from that first strip: I made it a point to go to the campus library every morning just to read the daily comics page and find out what Tank was doing. Nowadays I get teased by my 20-something kids for still subscribing to the daily paper.

Ah, 40 years of the Norts Spews! Congrats, Bill!
