So that’s the recipe for the kool-aid!

This doesn’t only work on voters, it also helps politicians keep a straight face when they flip-flop.

Michael Vick served his time and is completely rehabilitated. He is a valued member of society and an asset to any team. Are you sure the bat guano is really organic?

But everybody chooses dogma regardless of political affiliation.
Hardthought about 10 years ago
Too funny and too easy to make political hay out of this!
So I won’t.

Critical thinking is un-American. This applies to both sides of the political spectrum.

I love it! How do we get the masses to stop drinking the water??
susan.e.a.c about 10 years ago
Oh well, I’m sure most people know that critical thinking is far down the lost of what most voters want these days. Entropy kicks in sooner than you think and all political systems fail. As one writer said decades (or was it centuries?) ago, “Democracy will fail once enough voters realize they can get others to pay for their livelihoods and then vote for the people that will do just that.”

Possibly a local occurrence of PEBKAC. Happens to me occasionally.

The Enlightenment, which spawned our system of constitutional representative democracy, is now officially over. It had been in the process of ending for a while, most notably with Karl Rove’s infamous statement that “we make our own reality,” but in the “Hobby Lobby” decision the Supreme Court officially established the policy that Belief trumps Fact (when they said that HL could refuse to pay for drugs that HL believed were abortion drugs even when the facts clearly said otherwise). That pretty much drove a stake through the heart of Reason, Science, Objectivity, and all those other Enlightenment ways of thinking that are needed for the government created by our founders to function.
Well, it had a good run. Greek democracy didn’t last very long either.

Very disappointed that I had to read an anti-religion atheist propaganda cartoon in this strip. The author is very delusional to believe politics is any better.
wndrwrthg about 10 years ago
And the California supreme court just ruled recently that your civil rights do not exist until the police inform you of them.
Serviceman about 10 years ago
Nice anti-religion propaganda for Sunday. The two dominant religions on Sunday are Christianity and Politics. Were the republicans to blame for this?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_World_Trade_Center_bombing

We can all agree that the democrats taking control of the congress had nothing to do with the collapse of the economy two years later, and that President Obama has made no beneficial difference in his five years as president.

My ex was an elementary school teacher. Parents were outraged when she began teaching critical thinking. One said “I’ll teach him what to believe. You just teach content.” Therein lies the serious illness afflicting the country.
jnnydnti about 10 years ago
This just needs to be a strip unto itself. Maybe even a comic book.
