Shouldn’t the dog be wearing a mask? Or, if you can’t get him to wear one, at least wash him with hand sanitizer after sneezing on him and wiping your hand on him.
Dogs wipe their wet noses on us all the time. We’re like mobile snot rags to them.
Yes, I have used house pets as towels. The dogs didn’t mind. The cats, on the other hand, were less than thrilled.

Not certain our dogs would like, get dog fur on hands, they just know they are getting love.
