That is the look of a man about to deploy the Fist O’ Justice on some pizza-flipping fool’s face.

Spoiler alert: Cassie makes it to the game, but Milford loses anyway.

Gil is going to get some cookies and Steve is in the IT department of the boiler room. As for the game itself, do you think 75 will be able to drain the rock in a whiteout? Jaimie

Gil is reminicing how he lost a son, daughter, and dog to drugs, alcohol, and pizza. Please Gil don’t let it happen to Cassie to.

What does Steve expect to find in Cassies bag, cookies!

Judging by the hair in her armpits, I think #75 must be a foreign exchange student from France.

Gil has the look on his face of a MAN on a mission! Wouldn’t want to cut him off on the Milford to Springfield Expressway, or for that matter in the High School parking lot. Bets on what type of car he’s driving, I bet it’s a old Hudson that the Milford H.S. metal shop class chopped and lowered for him. Just can’t see the fuzzy dice handing from the rear mirror.

This is beginning to have the feel of a Quentin Tarantino movie.

Hi, everyone = Is this true = about Gil’s son and daughter? I have been wondering why they’re not around. Were they really killed? When? Can someone post the link to the strips? Thanks!

I wonder if the comics sections of newspapers are stored at public libraries?

The way they used to store stuff on microfilm and microfiche.

I suppose it is all computerized now.

But if the comics are stored, I’ve thought about going and printing out the Gil Thorp strips from years ago.

Mainly the football seasons from 1975, 1976, and 1983.

    Would this be doable?

Gil’s kids never really existed. Like in “It’s A Beautiful Mind” Gil finally said “I know they’re not real, she never gets any older”. Gil and Mimi sought professional help and have now moved on.

Actually, I was wondering the same thing. If they really do exist they sure spend a lot of time by themselves or with a babysitter.

Regarding the Gil Anthology, you can get the entire history through the original Berril years in a mulit volune (5 or 6 volume set. Might find them on e-bal or Amazon or google Take 5 productions. Worth the effort if this is your thing. De. Pearl

The kids and dog dissapeared about three years ago, the writers just don’t include them anymore, Gil does not mind he gets more Mimi time.

Hey, thanks for the responses. This is a great crew of wry/dry commentators.

Speaking of unnecessary plot twists, can’t imagine what in Cassie’s backpack could add “insight” to her getting self-destructively sloshed a few hours a few hours before he championship game [y’all do remember the beer bottle in her hand day before yesterday…]

    Maybe a draft suicide note…? Definitely a troubled kid….

75 would never be a valid jersey number in HS or college, for that matter. Highest number allowed is 55.

Actually her number is 5, what looks like a 7 on her front is actually a “T” for Tilden.

That’s right, got to have the mandatory big first letter of the school name on the front of the jersey – wouldn’t be Gil Thorp without it!
