Every time we checked Florida’s online public records, they didn’t have Patsy and me down as married. We began to wonder if we had submitted the paperwork. We had, they just hadn’t gotten around to entering it in the database yet.Does 29 years seem long to you?I think it’s in there now.
@hariseldon59Normally the government consists of more than then the king. The cabinet and such. Here the king isn’t part of the government. Technically we could replace him with a rubber stamp to sign laws.
When I was in my late-teens, my brother, his wife and sons were staying with my parents. My SIL has the same first name (and, at the time, same last name) as me. When I left home and got married, we had a very beans of a time sorting our mail! Add to the complications the fact that my husband’s name is actually the feminine spelling of the name (yeah, love his mother * eyeroll * )
@Rise22 “How come Wiz uses BLANCH in the second panel – if it’s supposed to have an “E” on the end of it – doesn’t he know her name by now???”

“Blanche IS correct FRENCH!!!!!”.Bless you both..A person’s name is whatever that person’s name is.Blanche is standard, especially for French folks.Blanch is not French, she is Iddian. (Id-iot?).Not that it would matter, her parents could name her whatever they wished, spell it however they wished. She could change it to whatever she wished.Furthermore, any proper name can be pronounced as the person desires.

Oh, yeah, you and your big mouth, Wiz. Your marriage after that wouldn’t end well. After seven years of marriage, Kim and Kanye got divorced.
