Rose is too nice to say NO.

My question is, if she dislikes them so much, why does she keep them in her life?

at least her yoga is coming in handy here.

She should team up with the Forths. She could give them her invitations and they could attend the parties for her.

This is true for many people. Some of us hide it better than others. I end up eating a lot to cover the fact that I’m no good at small talk.

I understand how Rose feels, one of my stepsons is getting married this Saturday and I am dreading the crowd.

You can do this Rose! All you need to do is put on lipstick and relax.

That’s why it’s easier to make friends online who live in other states and countries. I get NO invitations and I love it!

I like to get dressed up in just about any fashion, and I contribute a dish that I can enjoy when possible, or just eat something nutritious before leaving. I’m a better listener than a talker, but I pipe up with my opinion when I have one.

The worst parties for me were when I was married to my Cuban husband; the men went in one room and played games and talked about business (and interesting things) while the women only talked about their kids, buying clothes and having their hair done (and I did my own and made my own clothes) so I was considered unfashionable and I considered all of them a bunch of silly idiots who could not learn to play a simple card game.

I loath the air kiss.

Guess there’s a lot of socially inept nerds here in the comics comments. Me included.

Rose needs to remember that she once went to a party and let Vicki out; she was the life of the party! (BTW, I once created a reason for not wanting to attend a formal party: “They stand around eating bait off of little crackers!”
