Looks like Bern can now check “party” off of her list… and now, she can “return to her usual programming”…not that it’s a bad thing for her… – But, in some ways, it could also seem to be more of a “defensive posturing” about it,from her- like she’s trying to maintain her M.O., not trying to get “swept up” in it all… with a “Shields up! Red alert!” sort of statement… which is probably why Tiff has the gumption to go all “blah, blah, blah” on her… – I remember when Torres said the Borg wouldn’t know fun, even if they assimilated an amusement park…

Well, I think that hosting parties with Tiffany would be a better use of Bernice’s spare time than what she does now, which is to get exploited by Dez’s friends to take care of their pets and be an accomplice to their drug dealing.

Bernice likes having fun. We saw her bopping at the party. She just doesn’t want to have Tiffany trying to run her life. Like I said earlier. Bernice needs to sternly ask Tiffany, “Do you see that door?” “WELL USE IT!”

Now we see why Tiffany has only one friend – Crystal. Crystal enjoys throwing sly verbal darts at Tiffany and gets away with it – because Tiffany only scores a good line when there is a direct confrontation.

Tiff knows she doesn’t have to be serious about the academic part of college life. After all, her old man will make sure she stays afloat.

Yup… Tiff is letting her Rich <Rhymes with rich> self shine through. And even if she doesn’t keep her “sugar daddy,” she’ll find another an marry them…. maybe… She definitely needs to sort out her priorities. Again, I don’t think it’s an “intelligence” issue, just a "priority’ issue.

Wow! Very intense emotions here today. A bit over-the-top, in some ways. Much like BERNICE, in my opinion.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++To me, today Bernice is the one behaving badly. Yes, Tiffany’s “Blah, blah, blah…” is not particulary polite, but think of the last several days of the comic…. Bernice “fell into” hosting a party…. it made her nervous…. but then she “let go” a bit and had fun…. then she got jealous of Tiffany for being nice to the people while they were leaving, with Bernice being upset because it was “her own” party and she wanted the “glory” of it…. now today Tiffany is trying to meet Bernice in the middle and form an alliance, dare we say “friendship” to work towards a mutual goal of having “fun” (which Bernice WAS suggesting she liked)…. and Bernice gets all attitudinal towards Tiffany. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++To me, I am feeling a lot of positive energy about Tiffany. In the past, I have typically viewed her as an unimportant and average character who served basically as a foil for Luann. But, here, it seems Tiffany is coming more into herself as a character, and thus far I am liking her more and more. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I had been feeling a lot of positive energy towards Bernice as well…. until the last two days. She is becoming more angry again, which is not great.

I get defensive, I admit it. But come on, some people really do write stuff (here) about Tiffany that just doesn’t make any sense. For example, she isn’t actually loose, because she never has boyfriends. She will never flunk out, because she’s a main character. She won’t become the type of woman you’re disgusted by in the future, because this comic strip isn’t about the future!-And I guess I don’t hate her, because I have a mind of my own.

Does it strike anyone else as odd that Dez is from NYC, but so many people at MU already know her? Didn’t they just arrive?

While I am inclined to hope that Bernice shows Tiff the door, there is also something to be said for Social Networking. Often times its not what you know but who you know that gets you were you want to be.

Bernice May want to consider expanding her social events. just not at the level Tiff is thinking.

If you don’t show tiffany the way out soon I Will.

I’m still wondering how Luann will fit into this group and when.

Please immediately produce said rules and your authority for issuing them. Do you operate GoComics? Are you the owner of GoComics? Are you a major shareholder of GoComics? What gives you the right to constantly post rules?

With tiff’s attitude, she will be hawking her ’favour’s’ on a street corner for $50. While Bernice will have a nice solid job.

Bernice is being silly. Tiffany was only asking those people for their contact info, and Bernice got all pissy. She’s envious of Tiff’s ability to make friends quickly. Tiff wasn’t doing anything wrong—just because the party was at Bernice’s doesn’t mean Tiff wasn’t allowed to make new friends at it.

Tiff is having to defend herself now from Bernice’s attack. So now Tiff looks like the bad guy, but she really isn’t. She’s right—the party wasn’t Bernice’s idea. And she has some good ideas for parties if that’s something Bernice wants to do more of in the future.

Hopefully this would be a learning and growth opportunity for Bernice, but I suppose it’ll just be another opportunity for Bernice and Luann to bitch about what an awful person Tiffany is. I hope I’m wrong. So far it just seems like another example of the Evanses trying to make Tiffany out to be the one in he wrong, when actually Luann or Bernice or another of the “good guys” are behaving far worse.

We need to reconstruct higher education and turn this ship around. Only the serious minded to be let in regardless of which sode of the track they come from. The great ones come from great familes not so many from fatherless homes!

The problem with Tiff having her own party is that it is Bernice who has the built in party crowd. Apparently they, as well as the various and sundry other items; paper bag, etc… come with the room. Tiffany would have to work too hard to recruit.

Agreed. The Slytherin House would have Tiffany, Luann, Crystal, Leslie, and Ann in it.

I would agree with the following exceptions:

Lu would be Hufflepuff. Crystal, I’m not sure of… perhaps Slytherin. Bern, of course, is Ravenclaw. Gunther is a toss up between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw… maybe a little more Ravenclaw. Rosa is a Gryffindor. I can see TJ as a Slytherin. Brad and Toni are Gryffindors.

It’s the old, old story where the prettiest girl in high school finds that she isn’t that special in college.-Depends on the college. If it’s a “Party School” where everyone takes “Mickey Mouse” courses, then the “high school hottie” will definitely fin into this “overgrown high school”. Now, you readers please gimme some examples of such schools you know of. Thanxx !!

Actually, the barium was the least of my problems. One of the contrast media had a lot of glucose, and I am borderline diabetic. My blood sugar is through the roof right now, and since I don’t take meds or insulin, I’m not sure what to do to bring it down…

I wonder what that might do to high blood sugar? Maybe I should hunt for a troll…

At one time U.C. Santa Barbara and San Jose State had that party school reputation; I dunno if they still do. - As for well-rounded educations, some colleges attract students who merely want the alumni connections to cushy jobs; forget about an education.
