    The illustrations are some of the finest comics artwork that rate amongst such greats as Hal Foster (Prince Valiant and Flash Gordon) and Burne Hogarth (Tarzan).

    And so begin a series of foods that are blamed for Little Nemo’s adventures. I think a lot of them are not known as well today as they were back in 1905. I’m thinking a raisin cake is rather like a biscuit or cookie with raisins.

    McCay had to draw these magnificent illustrations every week and with simple tools, by hand.
