Still use them actually, don’t own a clothesdryer, never wanted one. Clothes and sheets smell so much better after they’ve dried in the open air. But in Europe that’s probably more normal than in the US.
Just turned 69 remember then will also remembers ringer washers and startching curtains and putting then on a rack to dry had a lot of stuck fingers getting them on… Could say those there the good old days….
This would have been funnier if the bear’s balloon was read last, after Nancy’s. (And this could have been accomplished simply by flopping — photographically reversing to a mirror image — the panel.) Still funny, though.
I’ve got a clothes line in my back yard. My neighbor (who is much younger than I am), uses it as much as I do. Had a wringer washer when I first got married. Don’t want that back.

Wow! I haven’t seen a clothesline since I was a kid, and I’m over 65 now. (Never mind how much over 65). Does anyone but me remember clotheslines?

I do, too! When the line was not being used to dry clothesor beat a rug, my brother and I would put a large blanketover the line and make a tent!

I’m a couple of months shy of 50, and I use one when the weather permits.

But it takes days and days for all the stuffing to dry – been there, done that.. (I’m 38, but I only count even years. Otherwise I’m too old.)
