Jojo, This report is due on Monday!
why have you waited so long to start your research?!
Are you expecting me to do the work for you?
Last time you got an A, I was so proud of you!
My son’s first grade class had a project to make typical house from the Hispanic countries their families hailed from (for Hispanic Heritage Month). So of course all the houses kids were bringing into school were obviously made by parents, including my son’s. The teachers didn’t expect the Kindergartners and First Graders to really build a 12X12 house.
When I think of all those times one of my youger cousins would call me on Sonday morning, asking me all kinds of questions……SIGH! Should have known I was doing his homework for him.
I was not able to compose term papers or essays until I was in the 11th grade. I was an A student in everything else, including grammar, spelling, math, etc. In 11th grade, something in my brain finally adjusted itself, and though I took 3 times as long as my classmates, I was finally able to write my own essays and term papers. If my mother hadn’t written my “term papers” in the early grades, I would have been held back. I suppose it was a sort of learning disability, though it was never diagnosed as such.

Let him stand on his own merits. Sink or swim, esp. at this grade. He has to want to work to get good grades.
