When I was in retail, we were always open regular hours (8 to 8) on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It wasn’t called anything special; but, it was sort of the kick off to the holiday shopping season. Business was good; but nothing extraordinary!.Of course, I had a hardware and power equipment business and often wondered at the thrill some wives would have when they “opened” their new snow thrower on Christmas eve..I am sure it was then the fight started…
