That chicken teapot would be great to give my daughter. She loves chicken stuff. Has about twenty-three live chickens (one comes inside at night to roost in her cage in the kitchen [she was hatched in the downstairs bathroom in an incubator, and the other chickens won’t let her roost with them] – Bob, her crippled “boy friend,” died). I, on the other hand, collect teapots, and have a little rolling table of them in the kitchen. Stopped getting them when got too many. Oh, yes, daughter has over 99 empty beer bottles on her downstairs walls. Husband put in shelves for them. Could go on for hours. Won’t. You’re welcome.
Unca Jim said, @katzenbooks45!“What is it with men and worthless “ugly” junk?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~Well, MY ‘ugly junk’ fixed carburetors, tuned TV’s, fixed sleds, tuned guitars, soldered wires and candlesticks, sawed and screwed the lumber for several porches, stretched several yards of fence wire and other ‘useless’ things that the bride felt ugly. Meanwhile, the house is full of knick-knacks and dust-collectors to remind me of her. Then the Katz died and her books remain. Time for a yard sale, for all this crap is of no intrinsic value and the kids have no idea what to do with all the ‘junk’.. If it ain’t on a screen + keyboard, it ain’t useful. (sigh)
Used book stores are addictive. The local Library has a used book store, the local Thrift Stores have used book shelves! They’re everywhere, they’re everywhere! ;-)
Every so often, I go through my stuff and cull as much as I can. I tend to donate the stuff I don’t want/need to thrift stores rather than giving it as gifts.

I don’t collect “ugly” junk. I collect finely crafted, interesting junk.
