i love my native state… when it’s dry it’s a drought disaster, when it’s wet it’s a flood disaster. it’s been doing that for thousands of years, but it is still “breaking news.”
Supposedly the only time a Mongol soldier took a bath was when he fell off his horse while fording a river. They also heated their tents by burning horse manure. You could tell when you were downwind of the Mongol army.

Which is pretty much our experience here in New York. Two weeks ago, a foot of snow. Today, rain and more rain.

Changing weather avoids boredom. If climate changes, wouldn’t that be a form of superweather? Also keeps life from being boring.

Doubt it, LadyKat. In this part of the US the Christians tend to use soap, the non-Christians not so much.

Pray for rain in times of rain. A prophet said that—-not exactly that—-I’m paraphrasing a lot.

I think cavemen did bathe, at least during the summer. The natural inclination when hot & sweaty is to take a swim in the river.
