This diamond ring doesn’t shine for her anymore.

I don’t work there but I think the orange jumpsuits means it stands out more.

Now Ruthie calm down and get your mind off of the ring just kind of go through the day and think of the least likely place.

This what happened to my sister she and her husband do a small business and where at a convention here she went to the RR to do her business and went to wash her hands she took her ring off and it went someone she had to file a stolen police report. Had to replace the ring.

Oddly enough, I remember the first time this strip ran.

Perspective, People, Ruthie sees it as something really, really special. I hope Mom calms her fears before she fusses about borrowing and losing.

Not always orange. The sheriff in Phoenix (Maricopa County, AZ) uses pink–says that pilferage is less. See paragraph 8 of http://www.mcso.org/index.php?a=GetModule&mn=sheriff_bio

Wow bunnyface (bmonk)! Thanks for the link. Quite a difference from those places that serve inmates steak and lobster! If only we had more officials who were like that.

Boy, I’m awfully relieved! Would I ever have been in big trouble if I’d given my wife a diamond ring that looks “like a diamond ring, Mom!”

She don’t play that … where jewelry is concerned, there’s no substitutions, no “just to be different,” no cute ideas, nothing “practical,” and certainly no joking around.
