You guys must be a bunch of old nitwits. Those are the Frog Applausians! They’re not new. They’ve been in several FA strips.

Oh, I know we’ve seen them before. I just didn’t know what they were called.

But in the NDE dream, the Applausian appeared as an angel, who said, “It is not your time. Return to your panels.”And for a short while, the character’s downward spiral into obscurity was reversed, even giving up the injection of formulaic dopey-mine analogs.The doctors said it was just the brain shutting down, but what do doctors know?

A little Preparation H might put you in a better mood … even help you be more accepting of homeless comic strip characters.

@BrassOrchidI confess, I wasn’t sure what NDE meant so I typed into GOOGLE and got near-death experience or Nebraska Department of Education. I’m going with Nebraska because it’s the Frog Applause thing to do.

So, other comic strips have characters who are disgruntled, underworked, or underpaid, and they are clamoring to make guest-appearances in Frog Applause? I didn’t know that FA paid so well (thought it more of a “scale” operation).As a public service (and to rein in these feisty nude nosies), FA should publish its requirements for prospective guests. I’d be curious what one has to be or do to qualify!

“Frog Applause” is as good an answer as any when a minor cartoon character is asked by it’s agent “where have you appeared lately?”

Fellow Frogians!Teresa has obviously set us a task!We are to brainstorm an answer to this problem of the comic character creep!Should it be a fine screen sieve or full-blown vaccination?Tin foil Thinking Caps and Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters all around!THINK!!!

No wonder they’re cranky. I’d be cranky too if the “Love Is Junk” guy tried to appear in my strip.

But really, really, really, don’t wait for me because what you will find is VERY worthy of being watched……

While green, the Frog Applausians have proboscises, not pickles, and if pickles don’t figure in preventing the encroachment of exposure desperate cartoon characters, then we must return our focus to the problem at hand!!!Gherkins be damned!
