Because adults don’t want to pry and think none of there business about someone else. Ruthie on the other hand is just curious and asks a lot of questions.
bmonk - So true! I’m an extrovert, married to an introvert, and we have two sons - one of each.
The introvert son had to think through talking, and practice (under the table just moving his lips) before he ever started talking - at the age of 4, and with a sentence to boot! He also learned the letters of the alphabets and their associated sounds when he was 4 - guess he just wanted to do it perfectly before he ever started.
On the other hand, for me to truly understand a concept, I need to talk it over - preferably with someone else, but not necessarily.

I still love that kid. Besides, adults never ask the right questions.

A true Extrovert. Especially one who has to speak so they know what they are thinking.
A true introvert, on the other hand, has to think it all through and get it perfect before they will speak a word.

With two extroverts in a marriage, neither will be sure anyone is listening.
With two introverts, nothing may get said.
With one of each, there is a dialog, but only one person hears it–the extrovert says something, and the introverts thinks a good reply.
