What a great strip, so carefully executed. In lesser hands this would be sentimental and sappy. But this level of artistry keeps the story grounded in authentic human and feline experience. Great storytelling, genuine emotion, uplifting, thought-provoking, and not least… funny!

I want to comment, but everyone has already said everything I want to say: tears, brilliance, artistry, best Christmas ever… so, I’m speechless, and Georgia, you know what that must mean. My fall back is just a big virtual hug!

Lovely series! Your cats live!

Ditto on what has been expressed here. The drawings are all so good showing expression. Love Tommy on his back saying hello. Lupin seems to be protecting Puck, with his puffed tail, from the intruder.

Georgia, you could not have brought this to a better conclusion! The panel where they see each other is perfection. I actually witnessed such a reunion years ago, when I worked at a vet hospital. People had gone on vacation and their dog had somehow gotten out and been picked up by us, on the multi-lane highway next to our building, trying to follow them apparently. She was with us ten days, and was a scared, dirty little thing who wouldn’t let us get near her. By the time her people came, it took a moment for them to recognize each other. But when they did….it was EXACTLY like panel 7. And NO, these aren’t tears. I’m just…allergic to, y’know…something.

AND….the BEST part is: WE DON’T LOSE TOMMY!! He’ll be reporting in with the rest of “our” boys (by your leave, Georgia!)

I’m all misty eyed now, what a great end to the story line. The expressions in the drawing is truly wonderful. Loved Lupin’s “you don’t say” face :)

Awwwww indeed! I second what everyone has said. My heart is all warm now!

This is true perfection! “Tommy!” “Woman!” It just doesn’t get any better than that. I love ‘knead, knead, knead’ and also the perspective in the Time-to-go-Home panel. Kudos, Georgia!

Thank you so much for the warmth and love! Gave me a big smile and a happy heart!

This bears out my further suspicions that Tommy was living in his own family’s shed. Remember that coat he said reminded him of his woman’s? Notice that in today’s strip the coat she is wearing is the same color as the one he was using in the shed….
Also I love the subtle twitching of Elvis’ take in panel 11…

A ‘Dickens’ of a story, the essence of Christmas Spirit in action. Georgia’s best. It should be an annual story event, maybe with some of the other amazing feline friends introduce in past stories.

I’m with everyone else here. So nice to only have positive comments on a comic. Love the fact, too, that we will be getting news reports from Tommy. Great story!! Great strip!! Love these cats and people.

Thanks, so much for your insightful humor and your wicked-funny feline friends ! Just found your strip (Thanks, Go-Comics !) a month or so back, added to my page (am a BIG fan of all ‘companion furkids) – and seeing the Christmas arc, was unable to wait for "the rest of the story’, cheated by perusing your site. Thanks to you (and your whole crew of inspirers)…hope you’ll be doing this ‘story’ for a long time !

Beautiful strip. Made me cry. Absolute perfection.

Just had to go back to the beginning of this arc and read them through because I was having an Internet outage when the one before this was posted, and while I was going back may as well go all the way… love it. Now my aunt needs to bring my half-dog over here (they used to live with us) since he was once a homeless puppy. My girl has gotten her extra hug

I LOVE this strip! It’s become my favorite, this is a great thing for dear Tommy. How did he stay so fat as a stray?I bet his woman will put him on a healthy diet. What a happy ending! I know we are going to see more of Tommy, but finding his person is so fantastic. And that was sweet of Elvis, who has usually been the “crabby one”.

I can’t believe it. I LIVE for Mondays and Thursdays. This is the highlight of my week. I’m so happy Tommy is with his person and all is right in the world.

This is great! I’m glad Tommy got home to his humans. Now that Tommy is a reporter I guess he will be the “man on the scene” doing remotes.

I recently discover this comic and I am in the process of catching up. This series reduced me to tears. Such a wonderful story. A couple of years ago, my beloved Caramel got lost and I was devastated. About three weeks later, I got word from a vet that she had been found and she was returned to me. So, this was extra special to me. Thanks!

I wasn’t a member of GoComics when this first appeared. This one is and always will be my all time favorite BCN strip. All I have to do is even think about the panel where Tommy and his woman see each other across the snow, and I start to choke up. I once had a dog get away from me dragging his leash behind him. It took us 3 days to find him, his leash tangled in a brush pile. I’ll never forget the moment he realized he had been found.
