Growing insects and even worms for food is common in certain areas of the world. They are an a relatively cheap source of protein, especially crickets. In this country, whenever the 17-year cicada cycle comes around, news shows run clips of people eating those insects. However, it’s crazy to eat raw insects that you just pick up off the ground. They sometimes have parasites. I once saw a big cricket somebody stepped on, and there was a coiled up parasitic worm inside it. It squirmed out of the body, uncoiled itself, and was about 8 inches long. Yes, I know it’s a long comment.
Chipolte HA HA the worm would have to be a free range worm NOT one grown on a worm farm !!!! MY God Chipolte don’t mind killing the worm and eating it……… so long as it was comfortable in life …..
I prefer to call it ChipotLie……What a joke that company is…..Playing on the fears of the consumer by implying something is wrong with the safest and most abundant food supply in the history of the world!

Great if one likes worms for a diet. Otherwise, you may have to use that stick with the pointy thing on the end.

I normally wouldn’t do Chipotle even if someone else paid; but I gotta admit it would beat a worm.

As they taught us in survival school, roast your bugs before eating them. It burns off the legs and wings and such so they don’t look like bugs.

I’m betting the meat industry is bribing lobbying the FDA to come up with onerous regulations for the “bug industry”

Anyway, I had a salad for lunch, washed down with a glass of Summit Pale Ale.
No worms… No worries.
