Atta girl………if your family isn’t what you want, your pretend family always comes through. Now if only your pretend family had some money. My mother’s family is not one I would want to research. Grandma was….um,.,,,,making a living the old=fashioned way, apparently. Who knew, this little 4’10" 85 pound lady, who hardly said boo, and fed me tuna sandwiches, Hmmm
I guess if you’re 10, 1963 is ancient history….sigh…..
My own family is pretty untraceable. I’ve wondered about it some…but I don’t think there were any exotic queens or mystics…and no matter what was i the past, it doesn’t change what I am… me.
Meanwhile… 2Old, did you see my late answer to both you and DogDay88 yesterday?
Landsky, I answered you too.Ok…. g’night…It’s been a long day, and I might be scarce tomorrow, as well.
There are only two things I really know about my ancestry: I’m a direct descendant of a passenger on the Mayflower, and my dad’s great aunt was a Gypsy.
besides, what is a “real” gypsy anyway?it couldn’t be geneticeverybody knows they steal babies therefore, they are everybody since every generation is made up of whoever was added.(note, reality would add nothing to this discussion, so let’s stick with “everybody knows” without worrying about the silliness of the concept)

Rogues gallery? Which comic said “We’re Americans. We were driven out of every decent country on Earth.”

Being undesirable to the British is a good thing if it involves rejecting the double insanity of royalty.

I’d have to ask my dad. Admittedly I know very little, and what I do know is what my mom and dad have told me.

Don’t worry, Agnes. You’re not alone. History textbook authors have done American history the same way.
