Here’s a challenge for Mike now: try to sell the real Reagan to modern day FoxPods. And we’re not talking about the sainted warrior who has become the FoxPods’ example of the finest president ever. The real Reagan, whom most FoxPods try to forget actually existed…

The “me first” mindset was already in place and looking for a spokesman. Reagan was merely a reflection of the first wave of the baby boom realizing that what they really wanted was everything they could get their hands on.

anyone can sell something that they believe in. it takes a superstar salesman to sell what he doesn’t believe in.

What is the problem here? Mike Doonesbury has the chance to become the Shakespeare of the influence industry. He can now prove to the world that he is a genius by practicing his art of word weaving thus convincing people that having ruinous national debt and the atomic bomb are good things.

The Candorville strip today made a comment about wishing things had been different and how if Carter and Regan had not been presidents, Iran wouldn’t be what it became and we wouldn’t have helped create all those terrorists. What are they talking about?

I think I saw that commercial! "So I was thinking “I’m not better off than I was four years ago but, what the heck, how bad could another four years be?” — No wait, That was the “Bad Idea” Jeans commercial on SNL.

Mike, that would be easier than selling Trump to the Mexicans!

Face it, POTUS is only a figurehead. RR was at best a “B” movie actor, and was marketed as the second coming. That wall was coming down anyway, he outspent the USSR on military(quite an accomplishment), and since Clinton, we have been doing it again. They are all Corprocrats, anyway.

bawana said, about 3 hours ago@Plumbob WilsonYou nailed it. We’re not done yet. There is still all that untouched money in 401Ks. For the time being, the law says we can’t touch that(yet). It’s truly the only untaxed earnings >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<The game is not over. The obomarites failed to grab the 529 college savings accounts. Maybe they will succeed in grabbing the 401ks held by that mythical 1% greedy taxpaying, working two jobs, hanging on by their fingernails elitist.

Obama had quite a week. Too bad GT hasn’t been around to comment on this week. Prez had a trifecta on getting his way on trade, health care and marriage equality. Heads are exploding at faux news.

What we really need is better health care, not health care insurance. It doesn’t matter if health care is free if it kills you or doesn’t save you..We need greatly enhanced research into better imaging, medicine, prosthetics, diagnoses, treatment which could yield improved health care. Better understanding of genetics to look for and cure diseases might cut many of the problems off before they emerged. Immunizations and inoculations against all current diseases..Personal monitors which recognize problems as they emerge and notify the person or others of the need for help..Cellular breakdown currently called “old age” should be treated to avoid all the problems associated with it, the reason old people use up the lion’s share of medical attention..Neurological problems leading to mental retardation and assorted forms of insanity is desperately needed, we just don’t even think of curing the problem. We need to think of it. This could end much homelessness, killing sprees, paranoia, problems associated with Down’s Syndrome and concussion and Alzheimer’s Disease — to name a few..Nearly every part of the human body is less than a foot from the outside. Proper imaging and manipulation should make it possible to clean arteries, remove any tumor or cancer, repair every break..Genetic modification of organisms to turn things like parasites into organs such as livers able to replace the original, or kidneys or hearts, thyroid, spleen, whatever.

It needs to be everywhere available, not dependent on a sober and careful doctor, nurse, janitor. That way leads to unnecessary deaths caused by well-meaning people. It should be more common than clinics..That means we need automation in all they currently do..Since biological attack is always a possibility, this should be under the NSA.
