Why is he drawing this woman to look like Kitty Carlisle??

And what is “The Unknown Comic” from the Gong Show doing in this??

And is it me or does that man look like Wink Martindale??

You see, that is why I stopped coming here. This is too stupid. I come back just to take a peek, and it’s just as goofy as before.

That is not a car in crimestoppers textbook.

It’s one of Joy Manganos travel cases that she hawks on one of those shopping channels. This is too stupid.

What, oh what, will happen to our fearless dick Does the Blank have up his sleeve, a trick? With bated breath we wait and wait That is a feeling that we have come to hate Molasses in February moves faster than this That is why with our comments we do diss With dynamite or with a gun Killing Tracy should be fun Old and feeble he has become Retirement he should not shun Lackluster scripts and atrocious art Has led many their ways to part No suspense is there here to see A point which we can agree So we gather to view the wreck Of a once great strip turned to drek.

    Another classic by wndrwrthg.

I’m not one for poetry, at least the vague symbolic free verse stuff. But your poems I appreciate because they rhyme, they’re easy to understand, and unlike the DT strip, they entertain.

Realistic props? Is it me or do they look like flat cardboard cut-outs?

When the cast goes for a soda break, they can use Tracy’s nose to pop off the bottle caps.

I dread Sundays and the “weekly recap” - it’s bad enough having the same stuff repeated over and over and over on weekdays.

I’m gonna go with Leaky Squeaky: That’s a travel case, or a purse. I’ve certainly never seen an engine compartment that looked anything like that, except maybe in certain science fiction comics.

More importantly, this is very good advice: Any time your car breaks down, you should immediately phone 911 for emergency help. The police really appreciate that.

    Last panel:

This is dinner theater, not the set of Ben Hur. You do not need a bullhorn to communicate with your four cast members and one stage hand.

Well, Locher seems to have found something even more ridiculous than Tracy’s “play by play commentary” of the circus story (and I use the term “story” reluctantly): Now we’ve got Johnny’s ongoing silent commentary. Coming next week: all the stuff finally happens, Tracy narrates it all for our vision-impaired readers, and Johnny provides the comments. We’ve finally found the Dandy Don and Pompous Howard of detective comics!

I think the thing in the Blankshooter’s Textbook picture is a view inside Cathy’s purse.

”CAR TROUBLE” ? - No COMIC STRIP TROUBLE !

If you crack the bonnet on this storyline (to use a Locher pun line) … you’ll see NOTHING of Value … a story crafted to go ‘nowhere’, and doing it slowly.

As puddleglum notes Locher punished us, actually standing for TWO full months in the Circus ring, with Tracy ‘eyeing’ the Bathroom door … for as Ringo’s nose told him – “it had happened”

On this occasion, thank the ‘Smell’ Fairy it’s only ONE month of “Aroma” ! But will the smell linger on ?

Panel 3 How can “Nancy Pelosi” fly with short “wings” like that ?

It’s a dead give away that Locher did the ‘penciling

Grimegobber’s Tipsbook: No more playing parcheesi in the broke-down car till dawn before you finally call for the tow truck! Get out the cell phone and call now. You can play a quick game while you’re waiting for the tow truck but that’s all. :(

Groundzero7 asked, “How did Nancy Pelosi get in this comic strip?” Good question for Locher he’s the Editorial Cartoonist.

It’s a small bullhorn, Flight Suit. Maybe a toy one.

Perhaps one of the four is hard of hearing.

This storyline has been so achingly bad. Locher/Brozman clearly don’t have the SLIGHTEST idea about how theatre works. Why do they have movie set lighting? Why are they seemingly only finding out the end of the play on the night of opening? dress rehearsal?

And (going back several days) NOBODY yells “Quiet on the set!” in theatre. Make it stop! Make it stoooop!
