You wasted 6 years watching this show and still don’t have any idea what it was all about.

JJ Abrams has talent. I know he tries. Nobody needs an excuse to watch escapist shows more than I do. But LOST lost me early. It was contrived & creepy. And not in a good way. Worse, it dragged…

It was being made by Abrams anymroe, the current writer had his blessing to do the final way he wanted to.

..I loved LOST…every bit of it…eventhough there was allot of the,’what the @#$%!’(or course, I find allot of that here,as well:-)

Living the Bush Administration all over again…..

None of it happened. It was only a TV show!

Personally, I’ll miss Law and Order more. I enjoyed a show where the bad guy might win in court.

I’m pleased to admit that I’ve never seen “Lost”, nor any of the “Survivor” shows either. I will admit to emailing news departments at local TV stations to inform them that pimping network shows on the 5 PM news wasn’t “news”.

I’m with you, coot31. I’ve never watched Lost, Survivor, American Idol, or the dancing shows. I limit my reality TV watching to Mythbusters.

Boy, people are as proud of not seeing this as of never having listened to the Monkees in the ‘60’s. (Reality was everyone tried it at least once.)

You guys must be in Purgatory not knowing what was happening (Sideways hint. Making the sideways really a flash forward, too.) Get it now, Sheik?

L&O, Lost, 24. Ed McBain, Robert Parker. Lately, I’m running out of ways to burn up my precious time.

It really was the sequel to Gilligan’s Island, Skipper.

My daughter made me watch it with her once during a visit here, so she’d watch one of my shows. My son had me watch a football game with him during a visit too, but I’d never CHOOSE to watch either. I have extremely varied taste in shows, but the “reality” ones have to involve cooking, clothes or decor for me ;-) and I don’t like ANY spectator sports.

Dumber than Dallas.

I love how folks who spend hours on their computer REALLY close to the screen, pontificate how evil TV is.

Peachy, you don’t know the difference between dumb and over your head.

No, no, the best part is that the show was so intentionally confusing, Pab was able to submit this strip a week ago and have no fears of the show spoiling the gag…Well done Mr. Sungenis!

And aside to Freeholder1 - but if I’m not mistaken Peachy’s icon is one of the Darma logos fron one of the early seasons - methinks they tuned in more than they are letting on.

I only know of “Lost” from commentaries over the years, but I’m surprised nobody has compared it to “Twin Peaks”, another experiment in story-telling that crossed the bounds of reality and eventually ended up insulting the audience.

(And the same with “St. Elsewhere” which MorganZ mentions. I thought it was the worst series wrap-up I’ve ever seen and a poke in the eye for everyone who ever cared about the characters.)

i loved lost and the original tv version of the prisoner who said good tv had to make sense? couldn’t get much into twin peaks though

and as far as the lost ending? yes they died yes they lived (at least some) and no threads were tied up

Rabbitrose–that would be both Newhart AND Lost, if you watched Kimmel’s Aloha show. I liked both Lost and the Kimmel wrapup. Snakes On a Plane 2–Electric Boogaloo. Funny stuff!
