Maybe it’s just me, but in P1 Marty’s hand looks fairly large. In P2 it sort of looks like the home run fence is about 20 feet past 3rd base. In P3 I am not sure what angle that ball what hit from, but it looks like it is going into space. Wait! It’s not going into space, but instead is beaming back information probably to Marty Moon. No wonder he always has the story.

LOL you can always get a laugh with “The Frug.” Solut!

What is it with these bizarre uniforms?? Did Thorp get a good deal on black masking tape? You know, the kind that’s good for taping shut the mouths of people who are soon to be killed for various transgressions?

The Blaine Fowler Experience strikes again.

One question. What would that infielder in P3 have done if the ball didn’t take a bad bounce?

The infielder in P3 is another fine grad. from the

    Bill Buckner School of Infielding.

Top of his class most likely.

Had he stayed in front of the ball he could have knocked it down and had a chance. At least Bill Buckner stayed in front of the ball. (He just forgot to bend over far enough.)

What the heck is with all the crabbing about the art? Which of you whiners have your own works on display?

Hey DarkHorse Firstoff, I don’t see anybody whining here except you. So settle down or I’ll send you to your room. Secondly, unlike Whigham, we don’t call ourselves, or get paid to be, an artist. And lastly, if you don’t like the comments, don’t read them.

I’d much rather read comments about the characters or the stories (which is the real strength of this great comic) than about the art work (which is not great.)

There are two basic elements to a comic strip: story and art. I’d say either one is fair game for poking fun at, especially the kind of fun here which tends to be clever without being meanspirited, and makes you chuckle. (Frug, indeed. Good one, JHSayers!) The comments are one of the big reasons I tune in here every day.

Dark Horse would you prefer this section was limited to comments like “Gee, do you think Goshen is going to come back to win this game?” Boring! I think Goshen have a Slim Chance of making a comeback, especially with that short porch in LF.

I used to have a sweater vest just like Marty’s… back in the 70’s.

Someone (Darkhorseski) needs a nap. This strip is a good place to induce one. Wish the writer and artist were as witty as the readers…….

They are not going to make Milford lose to the Washington Generals of the Valley Conference. They just can’t.

DarkHorse: There’s “Big Top”, “Pibgorn”, and wherever margueritem posts. Find your happiness there. I’m sticking around to see if these jokers will stop projecting Detroit’s failures on this strip.

In P2, Gil is wearing his 1985 “Members Only” jacket. Pockets are large enough for a pouch of Redman, and a cell phone. Miimi might call and ask about that hot reporter from weeks earlier.
