Well Flight Suit, regarding the third panel, he is due for an inspection.

Iswear that Anja yelled ‘Stop the show!’. Now Tracy is the one with that very line. I heard that short arm inspections weren’t much fun, WW.

I’m guessing he would be better at proctology.

I always leave my door unlocked in the winter, with the windows open. In the summer I never leave home, I just sit there with my dogs and shotgun, waiting.

I followed the Crimestoppers Textbook advice once… locked the doors and windows. Then I remembered that I left the keys inside!

Good to see Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane in the audience. Jimmy should loosen up on his tie; it’s so tight his head is swelling up. And when did Lois join the military?

The close-up of the hand: I didn’t know that blood was purple. But with all of the purple prose around here, why not?

Also, is that Tracy’s hand? Tampering with a crime scene, eh, detective?

Who was portraying King Pynn? Henry Hemo Philiak?

As the Brits say: What a bloody mess!

It happened!

Sigh. Why did Johnny Nothing shoot the other actor? Why is he determined to incriminate himself in front of a roomful of folks? Tracy used to be armed to the teeth. Does he have even one gun with him now? How about all the cops in the audience? Shouldn’t they be doing something to stop Johnny Nothing? Why is Tracy calling him the “Blank” suddenly?

How did we go from Tracy rehearsing to the actual production so quickly? How many days went by?

Locher should turn one of those pistols on himself.

Panel two, the three audience members depicted in silhouette in front of Sam: The first one is an Easter Island statue, and the third is an orangutan. At least we have a nice, diverse audience.

Very clear diction on stage, for the audience to hear. Are the top brass police present - concerned ? fishbulb asks the right questions.

The remaining Actors run from the stage. Why does the audience remain unconcerned ?

And why does Nancy Paposi after screaming “a real murder” on stage yesterday, wait a whole comic strip week to announce an Intermission AND then fails to alert the Police during the break ?

Is someone’s “mind” wandering here (?)

Tony deG, Really nice hearing from you, I used to enjoy your posts on the DT Yahoo board. Think those ‘photos’ of you dressed in Tracy’s Trench coat and Hat are still there

After your post I checked and was surprised to find that Locher’s contact address which you stated no longer appears in the DT Magazine. Seens they dropped it after 2008. Don’t know if it’s still in use

My only suggestion is to “hand write” him c/o The Chicago Tribune, 435 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.

Two stories in a row where someone committed a murder in front of a crowd of people. Sigh…

Is that Lt. Teevo behind Lizz in panel 2 ?

You’ll note his hair was then black and he had a Nixon type look/split chin with a ski jump nose. The latter simply dissapeared and became closer to a normal nose by 2008, with a continuing morph away from Richard Nixon and the chin and into greying hair.(note new chin) http://www.gocomics.com/dicktracy/2009/08/07/

His skill as he stated on arrival was in ”communications,” but this reader thought that meant a “little more” than being just a ‘verbal’ message man.He was never even seen to use a Wrist Geenee to ‘communicate’ (?)

Locher must have quickly found that that the ‘concept’ made little sense and he was ‘stuck’ with a non-performing creation

In the Circus tale he made a one panel appearance (see above link) as a Homicide Detective and his hair seemed shocking ‘white’. TODAY it seems blonde.

I bet you we now have to put up with a week of The Blank threatening to kill DT with various and sundry phrases, with no action actually occurring.

In yesterday’s strip, Anja Nu yelled “Stop the show!” In today’s strip, Tracy yells it and Anja’s acting as if she has no idea what’s going on. Just how bad is Locher’s short-term memory, anyway?

Blank says “take this Tracy!” in the last panel, but how can Blank shoot Tracy aiming the gun 3 feet to Tracy’s left?

Sam looks so mild and blasé. Look at his placid reaction this coming week as the impact of the murder sets in.

Seems Locher has had him on that police “BENCH WARRANT” far too long, out of sight for 570 days !

puddleglum, I’m convinced it’s a slipping ’memory’ thing and TMS doesn’t seem to bother or pick it up. And even Brozman apparently doesn’t point it out to him either

Joe-Allen “Joe” should be along anytime now to explain to us how it only appears short because Locher is using some advanced drawing technique called “foreshortening” or something like that.

But if that’s the case, that gun barrel must be about three feet long!

Tracy actually touched the blood with his bare hand. No blood born pathogens, what a country…

Does anyone know Lizz’s real rank? Captain bars on her collar and now they’ve added a third star to the usual two on her shoulder boards. I guess they all add up to “Chief.”

Hey Sydney! It was really good hearing from you as well. Thanks for all of the kind words, I always enjoyed reading your posts on the message board as well! I didn’t realize that board was still up! I tried searching for it but couldn’t find it. Oh man, those photos were from 10 years ago haha.

As for my profession, I’d say there’s certainly a hint of that from my user name! Haha. No I’m actually not going to be a priest, I just graduated college last year and I am currently teaching religion at a Catholic high school (closest thing you can get to a priest, I guess). My girlfriend doesn’t let me fulfill the requirement of celibacy! haha. We’ll see what the future holds though.

My board name comes from a new website I just created. I’d say this website is more embarrassing then those pictures of me in my Dick Tracy costume, but that’s ok: captaincatholic.net
