G’morning all, T-storms roused me so I came here – but not to clean the warehouse! HaHa!!

Well, she DID say she has friends to do the cleanup while she watches over the pizza. Sounds fair.

The most organised minds often have the messiest living spaces. I know… I’m a perfect example!

My own kids have demonstrated to me that the way they keep their rooms at home is not a good predictor of how neat they keep their own apartments or homes. That is probably true for a lot of us. Besides all of them working together and pizza, and youthful energy? Piece of cake

A woman’s ability to clean has nothing to do with her relationship status. Same applies to men. And I’m pretty sure Quill has seen her room before, so no surprises there.

Putting Luann in charge of the cleanup is like putting a lit match in charge of dynamite.

Even if they don’t do a very good job surely it’ll be better than if they did nothing. If their performance is not up to snuff it’ll still decrease the number of hours your professional cleaning crew charges to finish the job.

40+ year olds “blast” emails. Nobody “blasts” texts, especially not teens.

A good start might be renting a dumpster & a powerwasher. After you get the trash out & the first layer of dirt off you might have a better idea of what needs to be done.

Quill should think twice about dating a girl who can’t even keep her own room clean at college age.

Looking into my place noone would guess I am a professional cleaner with a guild issued journeyman degree. So I can fully see where Luann is coming from.

Of course, they don’t have to get the warehouse all that clean now, since they’re just going to tear it all up again in the restoration and new build-out, when they rip out the old wiring and plumbing and put up new drywall and ceilings, etc. Simply tossing the loose trash into a dumpster is clean enough, since within a month it will be inch-deep in sawdust.

I find it rather funny that you are writing as if this is the 1950s, and the only possible role a young woman could play in a marriage would be that of the perfect ‘housewife’; married to keeping the house spic and span, starching and ironing hubbies ties and scrubbing the floor in a ball gown, making certain that a 4 course dinner is ready when hubby unexpectedly brings 5 business associates home, packing lunches for Junior and Sissie to take to school, picking them up after school to go to Scouts, running the vacuum cleaner every 5 minutes, making the bed while the sleepers are barely out of it, and never, ever, thinking for one minute about anything except a spotlessly clean house…. just wondering if you’ve ever heard of two career couples, or the 21st century, or anything like that?

The warehouse could suddenly become a very interesting place. Of course Luann will invite Gunther. Gunther will want his new-found friend there.

That is where Luann needs to grow up. By her age she should be embarrassed to have a room like that. It is soooooo high school.

7Ok, even though I think that Frank and Nancy are nuts for jumping into this warehouse venture, and the warehouse arc has not been one of my favorites….. I have to admit that today’s feature of Luann volunteering to clean the warehouse while she sits amidst the chaos of her room was VERY cute and funny today!!!!

You asked about the little blue number under my name on some of the posts… this was something I started about a month or so ago, just for my own interest. It is a number between 1 & 10 that I post as my level of enjoyment of the comic on a particular day. I end up using statistics a lot in my work as a professor, and I have conducted similar “self evaluations” on other things in the past. To me, it is just an interesting way to look at things. My number set thus far is too small for any interesting analysis thus far, but I do notice that my number has (logically) been lower during the story arcs I am not as fond of, and higher when things are especially enjoyable for me.

@ The AirmanAt any rate, since my follow-up joke didn’t make any sense without the original message, I went ahead and deleted my post. I wish this site had some type of automatic quoting function. Some other messages I’ve manually quoted. But there was no easy way to do that this morning since I was on my smartphone and didn’t have access to easy copying and pasting. Yeah, the first cleaning will just be throwing out stuff, sweeping, and maybe brushing down cobwebs— appropriate for amateurs.*After they get it fixed up, they’ll definitely find it worthwhile to hire pros.*But wanna bet the kids will find something valuable in the abandoned junk— maybe the original slide rule maker?

I had one of my eye shots today, so I’ve only been able to read a screen for about an hour now. Surprised to see that GoComics still hasn’t fixed all the problems with their site!

Seems more so like what happens in “the Phantom Zone”. Or if you are a resident of “Bizarroworld”, it’s just another day…

…or the “Luanniverse” has started shifting again, and the resulting “time space continuum” is affecting the other “strips’ universes”….
