JanCinVV there’s no way it can be accurately described without the monitors flagging content on a non-spammer (for a change). I can say the ‘toe’ is between her crotch& navel, and is formed when cloth pushes in very tight in a certain way. Voila!!! Camel Toe!
Why did John sit and read the newspaper and then, look at Elly’s legs? John should have the chores to do around home on the weekend. Elly did work on her garden. She had garden gloves on her hands with small shovel and carrying the small plant. John is nitwit. Elly and John are married. Tch!
Why should John be working non-stop when he’s home? Elly doesn’t have to be gardening- for many of us, gardening isn’t a chore but a hobby. She could choose instead to sit and read with John.
I agree with what several people have said about various issues.
John was complimenting Elly, and she really should smile at what he said.
Elly may be gardening as a hobby, and John is likely reading as a hobby. Neither one may be doing chores, even if Elly’s hobby is more “productive.”
However, I do have one question: Where are the kids? Michael is old enough to not be constantly monitored, but Lizzie at age 2 should be somewhere her parents can see her. Perhaps she is in a wading pool that John can see (and therefore he is being productive, keeping an eye on Lizzie so Elly can do her gardening in peace.)
arsmall said: LoL! I was getting on my husband for oogling me the other day! Such a perv! I love it!!!
Even after 21 years of marriage, I still get compliments like this from my husband too! But unlike Elly, when hubby talks to me this way, it always makes me smile!!!!! I absolutely love knowing that, even after all these years, as far as he’s concerned, I’ve still got it!!!!!!!!!!
Oh come now, AS IF any woman puts on short shorts all unsuspecting that her husband will appreciate them! I know if I dress like that when my husband has a day off, it’s pretty much an open invitation for a day of attention :)
A couple of posters said her husband should be doing chores. If John gave Ellie the proper attention and appreciation a wife deserves, he would be doing the housework for her. A wife deserves more than the ogling.
While he is doing the housework, then she ought to tease him with the shorts, and not allow him to look!
“However, I do have one question: Where are the kids?”
Parenting tips to a comic strip character? Give it a rest, will ya.
They are at Lawrence’s place OK? Does that make you feel better?
An inordinate number of readers seem intent on clucking like hens over the way these two interact. …and you don’t niggle or are niggled by your partner?

I’ve got a snappy comeback for Elly, but since this is a family comic strip, I shall forbear.

If you’ve forgotten that she has legs, John, then you’re not keeping her “warm at night”…

@Eureka - Okay so I’m not the only one who saw that in the first frame.
Most of the time she wears pants so it’s really more of a compliment.

Elly is allowed to show off all the leg she wants, and she should show more in this strip, but she needs to keep her husband from getting too excited.
She needs to order John into the house and do his chores there instead of the comfort of that chair. Doesn’t the bathroom need cleaned today?

Pardon the ignorance, but what’s “camel toe” and what’s the problem with it in panel 1?
