Ted should fire his driver. —Unless this was a paid hit!
Lio in the abyss is probably just a fun ride for our silent lad. (BTW, see today’s 9 Chickweed Lane, in which Amos takes an unusual trip with no end in sight himself.)
Youre forgetting that, at some point, Lio would reach terminal velocity for his mass and density. He might pass the center, but (even if he did) he’d slow to a stop before he reached the other side, then fall back to the center..Of course, given the heat levels that deep underground, he’d incinerate long before any of that happened..Science is such a buzzkill…
Providing he could survive the intense heat and radioactivity at the earths center. He could, though, say hello to all the people Dante put in his “Inferno”.

Way to go, Ted.

Too bad one of those hand rails wasn’t near the abyss. How ironic it is that a truck carrying hand rails hit him.

But the abyss doesn’t go completely through. There’s a race of luminous water people living at the bottom of it. Just ask James Cameron.

When you gaze into the abyss, the truck moves also back.

Maybe he’ll run into Jacqueline Bisset on his way down? One of the great underwater scenes in film history.

I fear for those already at the bottom of the abyss when Lio suddenly appears…
