Alas, most of my dreams defy the laws physics as we know them.

Some dreams can be a little scarier than others.

With dreams, as with battles, it pays to be selective in which is pursued and when, to set the specifics and personnel as much as you can, to be prepared to jump in when opportunity arises, and to be realistic. Also, know what is important vs superficial. Of course, i coukd have alternatively said launching a business, or a great many other things. Once a dream has been realized, even just in part, give yourself the time to appreciate the experience and the people involved. So many people have things working right for them but get so afraid of loss that they turn that success into a treadmill.

I have been fortunate in getting to realize some dreams. Of course, most are ones i have worked on very hard, with having a long and loving marriage being the most important to me. Some were short term. Assistant stage managing rock concerts, i.e. being a gofer with a title, was fun but not quite a fit. That fell in my lap due to someone knowing my hard work in a related field. I loved curating a teaching collection and handling wild animals but the time was wrong then to turn that into a career. Now that i am a senior citizen people who do what i did during those years are again needed. I wish them great happiness. What people put their most work into is usually what matters most to them, but sometimes instead of aporeciating those results they look only at what they do not have. Other times they pursue only superficial things that are the satisfaction equivalent of eating only candy. People forget that adventure inevitably also involves some risks amd hardships. So, take the time to appreciate what you have, what you had, those around you, what you have learned from others. Thank them and thank yourself. Sorry about typos. As some here know, my vision is poor and today the site crashes each time i make it larger.

Thank you, FinnyGirl! If your signature reflects a dream i hope that it works out well. Your selection has me imagining you as a marvelous swimmer! I enjoyed abbybookcase’s choice of Thoreau quote, too. Also, appreciated that fritzoid pointed out that OW got where she did through hard work. If my memory of long past reading serves me, she had a veru uphill battle for quite some time.
