    Isn’t ‘mad’ redundant?

Skyler may not know much, but his English is better than a lot of college grads.

e.g., he knows “who’s” instead of “whos” or “whose.”

Temperatures in the 100’s the last two days in the northeast. Funny how all the climate change deniers have crawled back into the woodwork.

    Climate is what you expect.

    Weather is what you get.

WaitingMan-temps in the 100 range for a couple of days in July is called “Summer.” Nothing to get alarmed about, yet. If this continues into December, then there’s a need to pack the bags and launch the rockets to the moon and beyond.

Re: climate change, did anyone expect the “independent panel” was going to say that their “climate scientists” and universities were liars and cheats. That would be like Obama’s deficit panel not recommending raising taxes and eliminating waste.

They’re putting their camp over there.

Two “to”s are three too many

    Or, everyone’s favorite Latin pun:

“Semper ubi Sub-ubi!” (Always wear underwear, but “ubi” is Latin for “where”)

Where do you wear the wares?

    Fun with Homonyms…

i kept a list of words i saw in online forums or chatrooms used incorrectly in place of their homophone once. i don’t remember for sure, but i think i was well over 30 when i quit.of course while i have a decent vocabulary, i probably make numerous errors in grammar and punctuation.

    RadioTom,

A good vocabulary is fun to use. It makes obfuscation so much easier. BTW when does one use homonyms and when does one use heteronyms. Just one of those curiosities.

Sorry, deniers (please verify your sponsors when replying); Climate Change (once called ‘Global Warming’ to hoots of derision) is not about everything just getting warmer.

It’s about pumping more energy into the Heat Engine we usually call Climate. Thus our Weather gets Weirder.

And yes, we’ve been seeing that. Ignore it at your peril. If you live on a coast and don’t want to be bothered fixing it, move well inland soon! And learn xeric farming.
