TV: And now... Welcome to... With your host... Lucy: *sigh* Danae: What's the matter? Lucy: Your short attention span...You're driving me crazy! Danae: Hey, studies show that's a sign of genius. Lucy: Uh...what studies? Danae: Studies show that you're not supposed to question the "Studies show" ploy. Lucy: Studies are about to show a smashed remote.

I have a friend who does this w/ his Bose system. He averages about 15 sec. per song. Infuriating.

Reminds me of Mad Magazine, when they had a social commentary in the “sentence” produced by the channel clicking. (And back in those days, you were lucky to get 4 or 5 channels.)

Studies show that many people don’t understand the difference between studies and research….

Studies, and anecdotal evidence show the U.S. population has largely become “short attention span theater”, noteably on the right, where seven seconds of headlline, print or electronic media, is all they’re interested in getting to base all their decisions, opinions, and politics upon.
The less factual the data, the more they support it, and call it “genius”.

can’t wait to see how they jump on NASA now that THEY have a study showing that Antarctica is actually gaining a massive amount of ice-—————————————Of course it gained ice.It was winter down there. (You know; summer in America, winter in Antarctica.)And now, it’s heading for summer, and the ice will melt.Yeesh. FYI: it was NASA climatologists who first had the data on global warming. That’s why the Bush-Cheney administration put out an order forbidding them to talk to the press.Go ahead. Look it up.

“Are they in the study?”-According to further comments by the politically motivated, yes. Yes they are. They are in the study with the lead pipe, settling the science once and for all.But studies show that conforming to scientism means that you have above average intelligence. And studies show that the certain economic and social destruction caused by politically motivated Climate Change Policies might someday, possibly, be offset by a potential but probably unlikely, it being too late already, lessening of climate change that causes less evaporation by more thermal energy being applied to sea water, thus increasing sea depth and reducing inland fresh water resources.Studies said!I’m telling Studies if you don’t comply!

Stop clouding the issue with facts and details!

Hmmm, “question us and we’ll attack you: with facts”. Does seem to conflict with Danae’s philosophy.
