Petey seems likely to derive more nourishment from dessert than from his one-bean dinner. Alice is in prospect of a tummyache.Hang in there, Madeline. You’re looking a bit tired….

“Two beans short of a three-bean salad.” Is that a new saying?

My daughter would be just like Alice if I let her.

You know, I was a picky kid, but even I ate just about anything from the dessert table. Except rice pudding. . .

Just for the record, I love rice pudding. I’ve been known to make it if we have left-over rice. We almost never have left-over rice, I wonder……..

I’m with Alice! Dessert table here I come (advice: always bring your own oversize platter from home—you won’t have to make so many trips). Be prepared to live on water and crackers for the following week.

Yeah, who thought it was a good idea to make the dessert plate smaller than the dinner plate?

So, what exactly is rice pudding without the rice? Poor Madeline. It looks like she’s too tired even for dessert. Wonder if Grandma’s woken up yet?

My mom once made rice pudding and forgot to put in the rice. It was sort of like… milk pudding.
