Alice: "I've invited the epergne over for a tea party" says Mrs. Weekin. "Oh no! I hate that guy." says Mr. Weekin. Alice: "Hey! I heard that!" Says the epergne, " And boy, am I mad!" Alice: The enraged epergne picks up the Weekins and carries them to the edge of the carpet, where he throws them in the boiling lava! Alice:"That was the worst tea party of all time!" says Mr. Weekin. Then he sinks into the lava.

Nothing ruins a tea party faster than boiling lava.

OK, so maybe Mr. Weekin deserves to be tossed into the lava for being such a stinker, but what about poor Mrs. Weekin? She didn’t do anything wrong, and in fact invited that overly emotional epergne to the tea party in the first place. Where’s the justice, I ask you.

That’s Epergnes for you, totally untrustworthy, if you have one, watch it!!

Why would the wee Weekins invite that humongous and elitist epergne to a tea party anyway? Under the best-case scenario, it would eat and drink up all the party treats by itself. More likely, it would go for the lava dip! Mr. Weekin was right not to want the epergne at the party, though he could have expressed himself more tactfully.—What a comedy of errors Alice has played out!

All comedy is based on misfortune, as Mr. and Mrs. Weekin find out much too late.

Well at least Alice found a use for that thing.
