Don’t use that, that is for when somebody visits

It’s for show as well. Use a sheet from the Sears book on the floor. ( please note: I would’ve said Sears catalogue, but book is shorter and I’m tired and just want to go to bed.)

That clown picture on the wall shows up regularly in this strip. While perhaps a reflection of the Oaf Family that lives in that house, that ridiculous image also serves as a reminder that the generally astute Gary Lewis got it wrong in 1965. Everybody does NOT love a clown.

USE the toilet paper. Just don’t touch those little soaps shaped like seashells. They’re just for show.

I know it sounds like they’re being cruel to poor little Timmy again…

But honestly, if it’s anything like the candy in a similar covered glass dish in my aunt’s living room, in the 70’s…

It’s been sitting there for over 5 years.

The outside pieces are dry. faded and cracked; the more colorful interior ones are stuck together in a solid mass.

A thin layer of dust has settled on top, in spite of the lid.

Surreptitiously putting a piece in your mouth, like my little brother did, will make you instantly sorry.

That’s why they had it all laminated and shellacked, Timmy. Why, it’s a show place. Be careful of the plastic covers on the furniture. Peel it away from it slowly.

I cannot imagine a world where candy in the Penny’s house is just for show. I call BS.
